After conjugation with the PLGA polymers, the nanocomposite was tested for the release of the anti-cancer drug camptothecin (CPT) in vitro. The release profile of CPT was studied by the UV-vis spectrophotometer. The in vitro cytotoxicity test on MDA-MB-231 cells revealed that the prepared BSA-conjugated bismuth ZnO/PLGA nanocomposite was a good candidate for the treatment of breast cancer.
